Let it be forgotten, as a flower is forgotten

                                       Forgotten as a fire that once was singing gold

Let it be forgotten for  ever and ever

                                       Time is a kind friend, he will make us old

                             If anyone asks, say it was forgotten

                                      Long and long ago

                             As a flower, as a firfe, as a hushed football

                                      In a long forgotten snow

A.    Paraphrase

The poet is Sara Teasdale write this poetry tell about a forgetting something. She want to forget her memory in the past. Because she had a mistakes or bad memor y in the past. Altough forgetting something in the past is not easy. Actualy, she didn’t want to forgetting her memory in the past because she has a beautiful memory, but maybe there were something a mistake, so she decided to forgetting her memory. She compares forgetting this memory to forgetting about simple everyday things like flowers, fire, and snow.
